Tile floors are great for reducing cost of ownership but are they really as clean as they could be? Capitol Carpet Maintenance is using a six step process that is guaranteed to leave your tile floors in pristine condition. In addition to cleaning the tiles and grout, this procedure will leave your floor free of any residual cleaning products that might be currently contributing to how quickly your tiles are getting dirty.
We didn’t realize how dirty our tile floors were until we decided to get them cleaned to match missing grouts. What we came to realize is that we were just pushing the dirt around and never actually cleaning the floors…

Make sure your chemistry is not causing your floors to get dirtier:
Q: What is a re-soiling chemistry?
A: Many chemistries leave behind a residue that will actually attract dirt to it when it is dry.
Q: How can I check if my chemistry is re-soiling?
A: Place a small sample of the product in a dish and allow it to dry naturally checking to see if it’s sticky to the touch.
Chemistries that work quickly and aggressively are also the ones most likely to leave behind a re-soiling residue. If your kitchen floors are slippery, it might not be the grease on the floors but rather the degreaser your using to clean them. Left behind, surfactants not only attract dirt but can reduce the coefficient of friction, therefore making them more slippery
